A big hello to the world of Steemit .. My dreams are running on Steams!

So glad to have discovered the world of Steamit and thought by way of appreciation I'd take some time to introduce myself (add a tiny steemit poem) and generally explain my reasons for being here.

                 

                                 

My name is Pereptualflaws and I live in beautiful Devon,UK .  After lurking for the last few days I’ve decided it’s time to jump both feet in and reveal myself to an unsuspecting steamit!   Written this out a couple of times and each time I read it back it sounds more and more like a dating profile, not that I while away my hours reading dating profiles or anything (my wife wouldn’t approve) but power to you if you do!!  They do say third time lucky so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this makes the grade.

Anyway I've digressed, where was I?? Oh yes, my name is Perceptualflaws (think I covered the Devon part) business owner, husband and father to two beautiful children.  I run a green cleaning agency (to keep the wolf from the door) but poetry, writing social and political commentary, Gold & Silver, Cryptocurrency, music, film, the countryside, trekking, hiking, attending festivals with family and friends and generally keeping a smile on my face .. are my main passions!  So I hear you all ask, why am I here?  the truth is that I’m an aspiring poet and writer (difficult to tell at the moment but stick around I may surprise you) so have been drawn towards the creativity and non-conformity that exudes from every well-earned steam dollar!  

My aim is to fill steamit with a wide range of poetry (and occasional commentary) encompassing everything from social issues, spirituality, politics and to generally start knocking on the doors of preconception, perception (hence the name) and indeed the very foundations and understanding regarding the world and multiverse that surrounds us.  In a slight break from tradition, my first steamit poem will be a farewell to facebook (cunningly titled Goodbye Facebook) and I will also use this poem to direct everyone I know to the wonderful world of Steam-it!    

I intend to spend some time uploading pictures of my hiking trips/adventures and travels with my Australian Cattle Dogs Echo & Boomer!   Now I’m no professional photographer and I also spend my time seeking out the remotest places I can find, so an old point and click is about as high tech as it’s going to get, but I hopefully you’ll be cool with the general idea.  Big fan of music and festivals so may also spend a bit of time sharing and reviewing obscure bands that have yet to have their moment in the sun (who says men can’t multi-task) and whilst I aim to keep the quality high I also understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, well that’s what I say when looking in the mirror!  

Everything I write will be 100% original (for my sins) as I’m a huge fan of authentic thought, ideas, concepts and individuality. My observations of Steamit thus far are that in a sea of conformity, distraction and distortion this site offers a shining beacon of hope for a balanced world in which the power (and responsibility for that power) is given to the people.  And that my friends, is something worth fighting for!  .. 100% steam power with this introduction!  

I would love to hear your comments but if I don't reply straight away I'm not being rude, I'm just off on a two day hiking trip but upon my return will get back to anyone that feels compelled to comment.
