Two of my greatest passions in life are Photography and Cryptocurrency/Blockchain technology.
Due to certain life circumstances, I've found myself at a crossroads recently in my life... Simply put, I could continue on the path I was on, or choose another less trodden, less certain path....
So here I am.
My name is Mark, aka "@photographyguy" and I come to Steemit with a mission to create and share quality, inspiring (I hope) photography and film and, maybe along the way, help other aspiring photographers with hints, tips, tutorials, equipment advice/reviews etc......... and I hope to have lots of fun and make contact with lots of great people doing so.
I hope to offer my followers and the community the benefit of sharing my journeys, learning from my experience and mistakes, and to share the rather questionable pleasure of the rambling thoughts of the writer.
I am an obsessive photographer with a passion for photography in general, but with a particular love of sharing the beauty in my surroundings as seen through my lens. This includes landscapes and what I term "seascapes", through to urban and street photography. I enjoy details, and I enjoy textures, sometimes my photos will be sharp and real, sometimes they will have a dreamlike abstract quality to them, all depends on my mood, and where I am, from beautiful landscapes to a focus on a seemingly forgotten mundane detail. I like exploring different styles. I hope you enjoy my photos, I hope to be posting and sharing on a regular basis.
As Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers once wrote "I have never met an animal that I didn't like", so my wandering lens has a tendency to capture the light of many of God’s creatures, great and small, domestic and wild..
Talking of wandering, I travel a fair bit, and my new path will have me travelling even more of the globe in search of beauty and wonderment to share with you all here on Steemit, the new home to showcase my photography adventures and near obsessive curiosity.
Trust me when I say it is a cornucopia of thoughts and images. I never shy away from the dark, nor the light, and as a photographer I hope to be able, as is the job of all photographers, to strike the right balance of the two.
All of the content I share with you here is posted with integrity and will be of my own creation unless specifically stated.
I shall however also be re-steeming a handpicked selection of some of the work of my favourite photographers on #steemit to highlight them and the photos that catch my eye in ongoing curation.

Thanks for the follow as it was that notification that brought me here. You definitely seem to have a knack for photography and, as for your second passion in life, I dare say you have come to the right place.
When I say that, I mean the Steem blockchain of which we are communicating through via an app (in my case @partiko). In my 2+ years, I have had quite an experience. I've found my primary role around here is to develop tools that help honest creators succeed. This is achieved by countering those that attempt to succeed via dishonest means (spam, plagiarism etc).
I founded a project called @steemflagrewards that any community member can utilize to reap rewards from properly identifying, flagging abuse and leaving a @steemflagrewards mention comment.
If you ever notice another user trying to plagiarizing your photography, you could simply flag, then comment "flagged for image plagiarism +[Source](link of original work)" and one of our moderators or admins will review your flag and reward you accordingly.
The system has been working quite well and is one of the many controls in place that gives Steem an advantage over other social media blockchains.
Welcome you to check out the @steemflagrewards or @sfr-mod-fund reports to see the kind of work being done and feel free to join us on discord. One does not necessarily need to flag to support as there are many ways to be involved.
