Hey! My name is Peter and I found out about this place at the same time @hotdad did since I'm the guy who makes the videos and stuff for him. Head over to his profile if you wanna know more about that stuff, because in this post I'm going to talk about non-Hot Dad stuff. He just wrote a nice introduce yourself post and we'll be uploading our back catalog of videos to dtube over time. Enough about that, let's talk about me!
Pretty much since I was a wee laddie, I've had an interest in music videos, graphic design, conceptual art, and performance art (no link for this one - too embarrassing!). I'd never admit interests in the last two to my parents, but I can't deny who I am! I'm also big into humor and I especially like mixing humor with my other artistic interests. I also like making and listening to music. I used to be a DJ where I had an all vinyl show as well as a vaporwave show. The vaporwave show lead me to start vaporwave.org, a vaporwave blog on Tumblr. Almost everything I've made (that's not cringe worthy or juvenilia (please don't watch those videos, they're bad)) can be found at my website, bjornd.al.
I think that this platform has potential and I'm excited to be here. I don't wanna bore you with a bunch of personal crud so I'll leave it at that. Feel 100% free to drop me a line in the comments or email me or whatever about anything.

Thanks for the response! I noticed that you use an a7sii for your vids. I have the original a7s and I think it's great. Do you think it's worth it to buy a used ii for dat global shutter? I can fix it in post, but it drives me nuts sometimes. Also I'm glad you're able to work in such a neat field. That's just a dream for a lot of people.

I never had the original a7s so I haven't had to deal with that. But I love the ii. In body 4k, and the ibis were why I skipped straight to the ii, and It's been really awesome. My only complaint is the 2.2x crop for filming in 120fps. And I suppose a flip out screen would have been nice. But other than that it's great!

Alright, sounds to me like a case of "I'll upgrade when it breaks." I'm not doing anything in 4k anyway so it's probably not necessary as long as I can keep my footage from jello-ing too much.
