Hello world. I write code that dances to music.

Hello there!

I'm a software developer who spends much of his spare time making rather absurd mathematically-driven artwork.

Most of what I make is coded in a language called Processing, which is built on top of Java.  It's a very good language to learn how to program with!  It allows one to rapidly prototype an idea -- and its designed to be accessible to creative types who don't have a technical background. I like promoting the idea that math is beautiful, and I think there should be more resources for non-technical people to appreciate that.  That said, I don't consider myself an expert on the subject.  Just a fan.  Perhaps an evangelist.

I try to specialize in motion graphics that react to audio data.  I find that music is a very good data source to work with.  Visualizing music tends to have a fascinating form of structured randomness to it.  Different flavors of randomness play a surprisingly big role in creating a wide array of visual effects.  Here are some of my efforts:

I've also open-sourced a music visualizer that runs in the browser.  You can try it here and view the source code here.

I look forward to sharing more of my work, and I hope this community provides both inspiration and constructive criticism.  I'm a big fan of cryptocurrencies and independent thinkers -- there seems to be no shortage of that here.

Thanks for reading.  Cheers!

Welcome to the Steemit community @preziotte!

Those look like some cool coding projects. I am especially curious about Processing and your visualiser. I used to do visuals for bands and events years ago. Before that I used to program assembly on the C64 and the Amiga, building demos with friends. An old school way of producing visuals.

A couple of Steemit tips, ignore the automated bots, they do nothing for you and just earn from your votes.

We love original content! I'm sure you will have plenty to share with us. =)

Be patient with building an audience. Steemit is not get rich quick scheme. It is about the people the relationships you build here.

For many new people, the voting and points system seems complicated at first. Here is an excellent post and entertaining video about how it all works.
