My One-Eyed Pup and Best Friend

This is Wookie.

I've had him for about four years now. He lost his eye with his previous owners while fighting with a huge dog over a piece of steak. But it doesn't slow him down.
He's my little shadow and follows me everywhere. Wherever I go, he's usually never more than a couple feet away. He's actually lying right under my computer chair as I write this.

He forgets to put his tongue back in his mouth sometimes. It always makes me smile.

He's getting a little older, and it's making me sad. He's developing some back problems. I have to pick him up so he can get on and off the bed. I can tell he's aging and I worry. He makes my life so much brighter and it's so unfair that dogs are here for only a little while. But I'm doing my best to give him lots of love in his golden years. He's helped me out so much as I've struggled with depression and losing my grandfather recently. There really isn't much that warm puppy hugs can't cure.
Anyway, just wanted to share him with you guys. He's one of my favorite things about life, and I love him so much.
