And so it begins…

I was never, really, an early adopter. I preferred to stay on the sidelines and take my time processing the latest hype, figuring out how it could fit into my current scheme of things. More often than not, it actually would not fit and I would abandon the idea completely.

I was, however, and I still am an aspiring writer in search for the right outlet for my creativity. Well, at least I like to think so, while others deserve the right to disagree. :)

Blessed by the rapid progress in technology that nowadays allows anyone to use ready made templates and create their own websites and blogs (for free) I, too, have started a couple that I am quite content with. They are mostly accounts of my experience and my points of view when it comes to living in Canada. (Neither is in English, though, so I won’t bother sharing the links.) But then I thought to myself, I can speak English as well, so why not try and be equally opinionated in English too?

And that’s when Hubsy put his two cents in: “If you are about to regularly rant to the wider Internet audience, try Steemit, test the platform, learn something new and maybe even earn a dollar and a half”. He’s an IT guy, he’s fascinated with this whole blockchain idea, and we need some dinner table conversation materials.

So, here I am, an early adopter at last, figuring this whole thing out while waiting for a nice, juicy, first-world-problems rant inspiration to come knocking.
