My name is Quoc-Viet and I am from Düsseldorf.
As you can recognize, my ancestors are not from Germany.

My parents fled from Vietnam in the 70s, met here in Germany and I am 1 of their 3 kids. I was fortunate to grow up in Germany at a time when neither war nor persecution prevailed. I am very grateful for the fact that I am healthy and have got the chance to discover this world.

Just like this platform here.

While I'm watching Steemit, my parents (50+) are discovering the Internet after they have not understood the past 20 years why I constantly sitting in front of the PC.
Especially my dad is meanwhile (for about 1 year) crazy about Youtube, so I suggest to him 2 weeks ago (simply for fun) to start with a VLOG as soon as he retires next year. A crazy idea after we finished our 2nd bottle of wine.

To my surprise, he went into it

I: Something you want to tell your grandchildren and great-grandchildren when you are no longer there.

Just by chance I discovered Steemit two days later. A platform that never deletes posts, right? Shall my children, grandchildren one day come upon this text? Surely these are not as exciting as what my dad could tell about the 20 years of war in Vietnam but I still want to leave something for my descendants. I kinda like this crazy idea.

Is this too crazy and romantic?

  Our candy with her 18k followers on Instagram is probably the most famous in our household.

  I've been flying drones for the last 1.5 years, and I'm going to get on your nerves why this hobby is great.

  Something I've neglected too many years but from now on it is an important part of my life.

• Online Business / Digital Marketing
  My trip to self-employment and building an online business.

• Travel photos
  I love to take photos while travelling. I have gathered a few gigabytes in the last couple of years. It would be too bad if they dusted on my hard disks.

Why Steemit?

I love social media and I do not want to miss this innovation. So far I have been very, very skeptical about new platforms. This time I would like to grow with the platform and one day I might even recommend it to one of my clients.

I hope I'm not too late yet!
