Security Bouncer Raheel From New Islamabad International Airport Pakistan :-)

Hi, Hello Steemains....!!

My Name is Raja Raheel Rakay From Pakistan This is my First Post on Steemit I am a Security Bouncer New Islamabad International Airport Pakistan. I am currently assigned to our elite Highway Patrol Unit. I've been a policeman for 8 years now. The first 6 years, I spent assigned to the 2nd Police District performing normal patrol functions and learning the job. For the past 3 years, my duties have been much different. The Islamabad Police Highway Patrol Unit is unlike any other Highway Patrol Unit anywhere in the nation. When most people think of Highway Patrol, they picture police officers who patrol up and down the freeways, interstates, expressways, etc. In Islamabad, we do not do this.

Our function is that we are a street crime fighting unit. We are out there to arrest people for things such as: guns, narcotics, stolen cars, homicides, aggravated assaults, burglaries, arsons, robberies, and things of that nature. We do not handle police radio assignments unless we choose to ride in on them. I am sad to report that Islamabad is leading the nation right now in homicides.

We are averaging 1 - 2 homicides per day and approximately 4 - 5 shootings per day which do not result in homicide. We have our hands full. An average day for me starts out at 7AM. I wake up, get ready for court, go to court (I average 5 - 6 court cases per day), come home, workout, eat, do my school work, shave, shower (again) and go to work. I work 3 weeks of 6PM to 2AM and 1 week of 8AM to 4PM. My schedule is rough. That's why I chose GCU.

On a personal note, I have an Associate's Degree in General Studies which I received in May of 2008. I am an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. I am also a Merit Badge counselor with the Boy Scouts of America. I am a Police Explorer Advisor/Trainer for youth interested in careers in law enforcement.

I was recently married to my longtime girlfriend who has also become a Islamabad Police Officer. Currently, I am ranked # 9 on the eligibility list for Sergeant. I am just waiting to see if the City is going to promote anytime soon. I am looking forward to this class and I hope that many of my fellow classmates from the last 2 classes appear in this class. I have grown a fondness for all of you and the learning environment would not be the same without all of you.
