Hi everyone! As you might guess with my profile name, my name is Raksa, living in the Netherlands. A country which sometime is too cold and sometime is too warm. And here I complain about the weather such as every Dutch people do. That's one of the Dutch things, complaining about the weather. Well, since I've been living here I always have been being interested in the media and lately in sociocultural as well. I think media have a huge potential to carry out stories. In my opinion stories and media can have a huge positive and negative impact on people and their behaviour, because media with strong story can persuade people, change their behaviour and put them in action if their emotion is reached. For me, as i'm weak in telling stories in verbal communication, I prefer to put my thoughts or/and emotions in visual images, using media as a tool and hoping that my audiences would receive my story, my point of view. It's a way to represent myself, it's an expression. By doing so, i'm sort of evoking reaction and action from my audience so that a social interaction can take place. By doing so, i'm developing myself in communicating and representing. The wonderful thing is not only me liking communication and using media, but we all do, and that's why I did write this post, (despite this is a text and not an image) and you’re reading this text, because we all like to interact. We all like being social. So now you know that I like media, sociocultural and storytelling.
