Hello, I'm Robert Clinton

I'd like to introduce myself to the community. Hello, everyone, my name is Robert, but my friends call me Bobby. It's really cool to be a part of something like this. I've written a number of articles over the course of the past 6 years. Most of them were about playing pool and painting homes, which have been the things I've spent the most time doing and subsequently know the most about. This whole crypto currency fervor has given me a new interest, one that I have been enjoying thoroughly thus far.

My journey into crypto currency began when I first noticed they had installed a Bitcoin machine in my local pool room. As the weeks and months passed by, I began to notice more and more people making trips into an otherwise quiet place in the middle of the afternoon to put money into the machine. I had heard of Bitcoin, but really still had no clue of the depth or importance of block chain technology.

One lucky day, I seen the guy who operated that machine. He was an unassuming fellow. You'd never have guessed he is a big time player. I asked him to teach me about Bitcoin, so he told me to meet him there the following day. I did, and after a long discussion about wallets and the business, he told me about his favorite and least favorite coins. I wrote them down. At that time, ripple was .006.

I went home that night and signed up for bitstamp, but to my chagrin, I failed to successfully download the 2 factor authentication. There was a bit of drama and my attention was pulled off course. I had no clue how much it would cost me at the time. 30 days later, I finally got around to making the deposit and bought ripple and Ethereum, which had both swelled immensely in that time period. The 5,400 ripple I ended up buying got me into the market, but the 250,000 I attempted to buy would have been much nicer.

So, I'm here now. I've picked through a ton of the options available and come across this daisy. Steemit is awesome! A real writing community that actually pays it's writers has been a long time coming. Thank you for figuring out how to do it, Steemit!
