My Current Top 3 Malaysian Vape Juices (and a Bit of an Introduction)

The vape industry in Malaysia experienced a huge boom in early 2015 but after government clamp-downs, it experienced a slump and continued to slow throughout 2016. In 2017, brewers began to concoct new vape juice flavors and now, it looks like the industry may be growing again.

As someone involved in the industry -- I run an online vape store specializing in Malaysian vape juices -- I've been following movements within the local and international scene as much as I can, and it's been exciting to see how Malaysian vape juice brands have grown in popularity in the past couple of years.

Although I'm only a casual vaper (something that came with the job), I do have my favorites. Some, I like because of their unique and complex flavors. Others, while the flavors may be more common, have such gorgeous packaging.

I wanted this introduceyourself post to have a bit more than just a personal introduction and so decided that I would share three of my favorite vape juice brands.

Throne Liquids

A relatively new brand that has mostly flown under the radar within Malaysia, but has already made its way all over the world, the range of vape juices from Throne Liquids have highly complex flavours that flavour chasers will love to have.

(Flavour chasers are vapers who prioritize getting the most flavour our of their vape juices, as opposed to cloud chasers, who want to get massive clouds.)

This brand currently has a range of six vape juices -- each with its own distinct characteristics. Based on the data from my store's retail sales, The Mad Queen is the most popular. It's a double apple shisha flavor that's inspired by Al-Fakher's Double Apple (those who shisha will know what I'm talking about) and I'm told that it tastes exactly like shisha.

I personally prefer The Bastard. It's a sweet and spicy combination and definitely not like any other vape flavor that I've tried. I also love what this brand has done with their marketing and content materials.

Thirsty Juice

In terms of flavour, this has got to be one of my favorites. Hailing from a country like Malaysia, its tropical bar-type vibe is super apt. And it's no surprise that all five of the flavours have some level of koolada in them. I'm not sure what type of cooling agent these brewers use but the cold sensation endures throughout the inhale and lingers even after the exhale.

(Koolada is a flavor additive that's used to create a cooling effect when inhaled.)

My personal favorite in this line up is the yoghurt drink flavour. Most brewers are unable to get yoghurt flavors right (some end up tasting a little bit like vomit) but Thirsty Juice gets it so right it's amazing.

Fantasi E-juice

Look at the packaging and the range of flavors available and it's obvious what this brand of vape juice is modelling after: the beverage brand, Fanta. And as a fan of Fanta's grape soda, Fantasi Grape is a delight to vape!

Since its launch in 2016, it's become one of the most sought-after Malaysian vape juices and it's easy to see why. Their colorful packaging is meant to catch the eye and the flavors themselves are no disappointment.

While there may be exceptions, I've noticed that brewers who put in effort into packaging design are usually also on-point in terms of flavor. And Fantasi is one of those. If I were a heavy vaper, this brand would definitely by on my all-day vape list.

(All-day vapes are vape juices that you can vape all day because they taste great and have the right nicotine level.)
