I totally forgot to make an introduction post. So, this is actually my second blog post. I took the above photo during my bike tour from Pittsburgh to D.C. last July.

Why am I here? This is just one part of a grand scheme to change my life. I goofed around for most of my twenties before deciding to go back to school for video production. I did so and got a nice office job that led to a promotion to the job of instructional designer for all the company's training materials. I even completed a bachelor's degree in communication while working at this job. Well, it'll be 10 years in July and to say I'm unsatisfied would be an understatement. I'm not exactly sure what it means to say a job is soulsucking, but I think that's the best way to describe my current job.

So, I have been saving money and plan to to quit my job on my 10-year anniversary in July. What will I do instead? In no particular order, I will:

• ride my bike
• uberlyft
• maybe work at the local co-op
• look for freelance and remote work
• steemit
• keep my stock investments
• collect rent from the house I own
• create music
• live my life for me and be creative again

I bought a brand new Surface Pro today so I can unchain myself from a desk. I want to take it with me on bike tours so I can blog from the road. I also plan to write about movies and post some photography and music I create. I have an electronic drum kit and two small synths. I only learned to play both in the last few years but it's a great creative outlet.
