Hello alishba, i don't know if steemit is supposed to be played but i find it funny you see it that way. In the beginning it is probably very hard to earn an extra income, as long as you are not a famous writer/publisher. I am new to steemit aswell and read a lot about it. A good way to get recognition is to make comments on trending and hot posts of rather famous steemians. I wish u a good start!
