Literally got accepted about 15 minutes ago. I learnt about this platform from following @jerrybanfield, still working my way through the FAQ :) This is very interesting and I'm looking forward to getting more involved.
My name is Mike, I'm a UK national but have been living as an expat in northern Thailand for the past 3 years. I work at a mobile app development start up as QA lead/Scrum Master. Got to hear about cryptos from working with developers, still geeking out and learning more each day, looks like it's gonna be the future which is why this platform is so interesting.

Welcome Mike! If you are interested in cryptos then this is the right place. But Steemit is much more than that, and you can also find a good niche for yourself so as to get the best out of this platform.
Search for the Looking For Niche Discord channel (just Google it and you will find posts about it on Steemit with more information) and you will be up and running in no time, as so many others before you.
