First Steemit Post

Why roundhere?

I was viewing a crypto post on youtube that launched from steemit. Wanting to view dtube I decided to sign up. This is my first social media experience and joining triggered a thought....

Internet social media. Bringing humans together around the globe.

What is happening around me that I am not even aware of? Several billion people alive, all having at least slightly different experiences. No two are exactly the same. Regardless of how similar my co-workers, co-commuters, fellow citizens and fellow earthers lives are, how different they are at the same time.

Maybe I should have picked roundthere instead.

Welcome to the Steem Fam... Steem Fam! :D

Thank you. I assume @whatsup got me on your radar and she gives you a thumbs up. Hopefully I will create content worth your consideration as well.

Yes indeed, I homed in on @whatsup's beacon. :)

Welcome mate. I like your writing style.

It’s a great introductory post but you managed to avoid telling us anything about yourself. :P

You get an upvote from me anyway. Perhaps you can tell me more about yourself in a future post. :)

Thanks for the welcome. I also appreciate the upvote. After viewing your page, we have something in common. I work for a small gravel mining company(about 60 employees) in the U.S. However, i get to go home at night. I expect people who follow me will get to know who I am, even if I dont share much personal info in posts. I believe we reveal who we are in many ways. I look forward to new relationships created in this new forum of internet social media.

I imagine we will learn a lot about your interests and who you are. :)

That must be a tiny operation at 60 people. The smallest mine that I worked on employed 180 people. It was quite small compared to where I ended up. The last mine I was onemployed almost 2000 people. We literally built a small village in the middle of no where just to mine iron ore.

Welcome to social media :)

Thanks, I appreciate the welcome.

Welcome to SteemIt! Looking forward to seeing your posts.

Welcome to Steemit! Hope you enjoy your time here with us... I'm sure @whatsup talks about this place a lot; I "talked about this place a lot" to my wife for about six months before she finally gave up and joined...
