My Introduction - Hi everyone :)

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago

Hi everyone, my name is Ruben and I am 27. I am new to Steemit and decided to do my introduction after a few posts.

First of all, I am impressed by @worldclassplayer achievements here in Steemit and it is an inspiration to me. I too want to become a Steemit Millionaire

Lately, by writing daily blogs, I have noticed that I want to share more, write more, express myself more through writing, so Steemit is like the perfect place to be. I love the design and the concept.

Never beore I have blogged for 'cents', well there is a first time for everything. I usually blog to set myself free from my limitations and to share my process of self-change in my Journey to Life blog.

I have before invested 'small time' in Ethereum and Litecoin, why not invest in Steem? This time I won't be putting in euros though, but words - pretty cool.

Everything is made up of words, with words we can build a better world, a better self and this is my aim in placing words.

You'll see I write about Bipolar disorder, because I was diagnosed as bipolar, which is a dangerous yet fascinating illness to have.

I wrote here about self-sustainable communities, in which one day I'd like to live in.

I like dogs, riding a mountainbike and I own an unicycle.

Everyday I blog in my Journey to Life Blog, or at least try to.

My first Steemit post gathered more than $3 while my subsequent posts gathered 0.0x - I'd like to go back to the begginnings lol - or surpass them better

As with anything, I'd like that with time more followers come as I share more content, Steem will flow through my veins - lol

I love recieving and sometmes I do post comments on others' posts.

I live in Spain and like to travel, I have travelled to Brazil, South Africa, France, Italy, Denmark and the UK.

I'd like to use the opportunity of my introduction post to ask you some questions.

Do you think we can be much more than we are?

Do you think this world can be much more than it currently is?

Do you see in yourself the power to change?

What do you want to achieve before you die?

What would you like your children to have once you leave this world?

Thanks Everyone. Thanks Steemit

Ruben

Welcome!

Yes, you are right! Thank you

Welcome to steemit Ruben, good introduction and regarding your questions:

Do you think we can be much more than we are?
Yes, just 5 years ago I would have never imagined I am where I am now

Do you think this world can be much more than it currently is?
Yes

Do you see in yourself the power to change?
Yes, although I'm still failing on creating some new habits I learned a lot

What do you want to achieve before you die?
I must admit that most of my current goals are yearly goals or less so I should definitely think about long term goals

What would you like your children to have once you leave this world?
Warm memories about their childhood, a growth mindset, standing for their own values,.. gosh there is so much haha. Don't have any children yet though.

Hope your blogging on here will be successful, followed you! :)

Hey, you are cool . Since your replied to the questions I'll do the same.

Do you think we can be much more than we are?
Yes, I think we cannot fathom how much more we can actually be and become as our utmost potential.

Do you think this world can be much more than it currently is?
Yes, because the combined effort of utmost potentials of the people living on Earth create a potential exponential awesome world of the combined talents that exist here.

Do you see in yourself the power to change?
I can see the potential for change although I need to work more on self-trust which one can do through self-forgiveness and walking practical application. -See Desteni for more info on this lingo.

What do you want to achieve before you die?
I would like to leave a wold behind that is best for all inhabitants, all Life, humans animals and plants.

What would you like your children to have once you leave this world?
A safe and cool world where everyone is supported no matter what the place they are born in to have a dignified and fulfilling life.

@Mountainwashere's Guide for New Users:

Welcome to Steemit! It's got a steep learning curve, but it's worth it in the long run if you keep putting in the time! Just know that it will take quite a while before you start getting attention and followers. The biggest secret to success? Keep posting high quality content regularly, and make sure to search out other people's posts, read them, and give relevant comments.

Tagging is extremely important. Always make sure to use all five possible tags, and to keep them relevant. You can always just tag something "blog" or "photography" or something else really general (so long as it's still relevant) to fill the quota if you need to- most of your tags should be established ones, though one or two less used ones are fine.

Posting more than four times a day can reduce your potential rewards, as well as turning off potential users. (I aim for one post per day most of the time.) Consistency is important, though, so you should try to post often.

Always make sure to attach a photo to your posts! You should also have a finished profile: Write a description, add a profile picture and a banner- neither needs to be a photo of you, necessarily, but you should have something- and set a website.

There are a lot of really good resources out there for plankton and minnows (new users). You should check out the following groups and services, they offer a lot of valuable resources:

@thesteemengine (Check this one out first- they're an extremely supportive group that can help out in a lot of ways.)
@qurator (These guys offer an excellent liftime upvote to accounts that post consistent quality content.)
@steembasicincome (Another lifetime upvote option.)
@steemstem (The biggest and best STEM curation group in the game. If you're interested in writing or reading about science, check these guys out!)
@geopolis (A fairly new science curation group, this one's dedicated to the study of the Earth.)
@ocd (A curation group that seeks out undervalued new writers.)
@photocontests (Runs contests and provides other support for photographers.)

Much of the activity on steemit actually takes place off Steemit, on places like steemit.chat and discord. Learning to use them is a great idea.

And, again, the biggest thing is just patience. Breakout successes are incredibly rare on Steemit- you've got to find your way to success through perseverance and hard work. It takes time, but you'll eventually succeed if you put in the work.

Please feel free to repost this guide on the posts of other plankton & minnows you run into (though I'd appreciate it if you credit me.) If it was useful to you, feel free to check out my posts and give me a follow!

Thanks for the tips!
