I haven't see any positive effects. They are being used by some to falsely upvote content, especially by a lot of the bigger accounts here; which, of course damages the experience here greatly as it allows for poor content to make some people a ton of money. What they make unfairly then makes it harder for newbies like us to get much of anything for our content, no matter its quality.
