Hello Steemit. My one day trip in Bangkok, Thailand.

What’s up Steemian it’s me Saknan. Today I decide to write my original story after I’ve been lurking around and posted couple of news and videos. The only thing that hold me back from writing is my poor English language and zero background of writing. I also don't like to talk about myself much but thank to Steemit that make me want to share myself to others.

I’m sorry in advance for my wrong grammar and other mistakes. Enjoy reading!

Have you wondering what and where you should go if you only have one day trip in Bangkok?

Well, sometimes we just had that business trip to other city and the only time we have left is our afternoon and night. Some might feel too tired to go out and just spend that time in hotel waiting for tomorrow flight. Hey, don’t waste those precious time! Follow me and I will show you how you can spend easy afternoon and night in Bangkok.

The beginning, I had this urgent trip that I must go to Bangkok with my girlfriend just to fix her Visa problem and stuff. We also want to hangout at some places becoause it's her first trip to Bangkok so I decide to stay one night and back to our hometown in the morning. Here is my plan below.

14:00–17:00 = Chatuchak Market

17:00–21:00 = Asiatique the Riverfront

21:00–midnight = Khaosan road

Chatuchak Market

It is my best recommend place if you want to buy souvenir from Thailand for your friends and family. For men two hours is enough but for women I suggest you need at least five hours because there are a lot of souvenir and stuff for decorating. Also I guarantee that this place is ten times better than you buy your souvenir from the airport.

After I have settled with my business in the morning. I checked in at Khaosan road because I plan to spend my night there. Then we went off immediately to Chatuchak Market by tuktuk because we don’t have much time.

We arrived and look around. My girl friend want to buy something for her friend. For me I just want to get some food.

This guy sell his orange juice here with the advertising that it’s the most delicious drink in the world lol. Price is around 0.75$ It did taste good!

Well i don’t know why many people take his photo so I did too! lol! (What is that food I didn’t try it, is it Mexican food?)

Try this coconut ice scream. It just around 0.75$. Really boost your mood after a long walk.

I ever think of exporting goods here around the world. If you ever think like me check the above rate of shipping.

 TIPS

  • All item’s price could be negotiate. Also there are many shop sell same item so you could look around and make price comparison before buy it.
  • Be careful of overpriced merchandise! It’s common here that they will charge foreigner double price than regular price. My tip is ask for the price and walk away if they call you back then it’s time for negotiation.
  • Be careful for fake item. If you saw any brand item here I could say more than 90% is not legit.
  • Keep your wallet safe. It’s really crowded place. Trust me, you don’t want to lose your money and get bad mood on your good day.
  • The last tip is….make sure you bring enough money. There is a lot to spend there, especially handicraft is really high quality.

Asiatique the Riverfront

After we done with Chatuchak, we went to Asiatique by taxi. Luckily it was on weekend so we don’t have problem with the traffic.

Chaopraya river is one of the iconic place of Bangkok. If you have more money you could buy the buffet ticket on the cruise that will sail along the river during that night. (The ticket is around 1200–2000bath and you must make a reservation)

Beside food and restaurant. There is gift shop, Muay Thai and cabaret show. Also the Ferris wheel which you can see the view of Chaopraya river. (200bath for one ticket)

Here is the spot for taking photo. After we finish our dinner it’s started to getting dark. Time to move to our final destination.

 Khaosan road

Probably one of the most famous place among the tourists. It is knew that this place at evening will turn into bars where you can meet with backpackers who came from all around the world and discuss about their travels. There are also many food hawkers, exotic snacks for tourists, BBQ insects and the most comfortable Thai massage.

After I arrived, there was raining. So we back to our room and changed our dress, wait until rain stop and we went out again.

At night there are full of tourist.

I enjoy my drink and listened to music. It was a long day indeed but it’s worth it.

After that we look for feet massage. There are around dozen of bed like this laying in front of the massage spa. Several tourists were sleeping on that bed like they really felt comfortable. So I and my gf want to try it too. For feet massage is 120 for 30minutes and 220 for one hour. We choose 30minutes in case if it’s not good we can leave earlier.

Turn out that the feet massage was so great. I almost felt asleep. I did ask the massager a lot about them and their home town. It was fun night and I’d recommend you to come to this place. Finally, one day rush trip in Bangkok is possible and I believe you can enjoy the most out of it without tiring yourself.

Please let me know if there is anything I should fix with my story. All advice are welcome. Thank you very much for your support. See you again later guys.

Heyyy! what a nice long post and I totally think your English is just fine. English is not my first language too but I'm working on it! Good post about Bangkok. Those 3 places are good spots to hang out in BKK and you covered them really good for one whole day! :D
