Introducing SteemBasicIncome Roulette

Hello Steemians!

Group 2.png

What?

I'd like to introduce you the SBI Roulette, a fun way to find people worth sponsoring. You may be interested in why they are worth sponsoring, for now I just took the last 300 Upvotes that @ocd was doing on posts, not comments, and filter out the author names. And because I believe that @ocd has a good understanding and a good process of how good content should look like, I thought it will be a good first version to go like this!

Why?

I really enjoy the @steembasicincome program and wanted to support it. And because I'm an engineer it was quite easy to get something out to you guys to support their work. The main reason is that when you buy yourself a share for the @steembasicincome program you can also name another fellow steemian who also get a share. And if you're new to steem or don't communicate so often to others it's maybe not easy to find another guy to sponsor.

How can I use it?

Just browse to https://sbi-roulette.fun and click "get a recommendation". You will be presented a steem user that is worth sponsoring. :)

Can I support you?

Yes, I (@spotted) built this application as another small project. And if you like what I'm doing it would be a great to my a share for @minnowsmith. It's another project of me where users can "mine" STEEM in their browser. You should check this out, too. :)

Roadmap

Because it's just a small sideproject I don't have big plans for this for now. Maybe in case other communities that reward good quality want to have there users listed as well, I could think about adding a dropdown for each community to choose from.

What do you think about it?

Hello sbi-roulette! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!

Hi @spotted and @sbi-roulette,

Would you consider putting @runburgundy in your roulette? It's a program that rewards Steemians with SBD (from payouts) for their running efforts during the week, and we're looking for ways to increase the reward pool.

@urbangladiator I'll think about it. Thanks for showing me this community. :)

This is just a bit better than Russian roulette 😋😜

While I do appreciate your effort and tool, I can not but add one remark!
Why only focusing on the @ocd curation trail! I know lots of Steemains who do write more then decent posts without getting a visit from @ocd. Just because the topic their writing about is not a topic which attracts the curators of @ocd! I can mainly be found on sports related posts, but I am not neglicting other niches of the Steem blockchain! I even support all of them because the more niches we have on here, the more people will feel at home, the less the burn rate will be!
Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate what your are trying to do, just like I do appreciate what @ocd and for instance @curie is doing. But there are more great post about niches about which the curators don't have any passion with and accordingly don't visit! You are wiping out all of these authors within your roulette. That's why I won't be using it!

Cheers,
Peter

@fullcoverbetting As I've written in the posts roadmap, I'll think about adding more communities than only @ocd. :)

Love it. The few times I bought an SBI share I usually just sponsored the last person who interacted with me, whether they want/need it or not. This makes it all the more fun.

Thank you very much @cryptocopy. :)

Cool stuff!
Do you want a nice cover? :D

Do you have a good idea? You should come back to @minnowsmith. :P

It was a little problem in my workplace, one of our system "defeated" by coinhive, so the IT check the machines, and they dont said for me a thanks, while i use your "miner" :D Not a big problem, but you know...
Next day EDIT (it was evening, and i dont want open a dictionary :D )
so, defeat is not a correct word, the system was hacked. But not our own system, it's the service provider's, maybe they have a smart employee :D
And then we got the memo, its not forbidden, but highly NOT recommended use any miner software or service, whats mean, its forbidden :)
