HELLO STEEMIT, MY INTRODUCTION AND FIRST POST

Hello everyone! My name is Selin, and I'm 19 years old, living in Izmir, Turkey. I study Psychology at Bogazici University in Istanbul. My mother is Russian, and my father is Turkish, so I can speak both Turkish and Russian as my native language. Despite having the opportunity to live in these two completely different worlds -Turkey and Russia- and experience them, I've never been able to decide which one I love more. I think I belong to two of them .

PIANO, A LIFELONG PASSION
When I was a litle child, I had a toy piano which my parents had given me as a gift in New Year. For couple of years, I literally played with it, experimenting with various sounds piano contained, trying to play a melody I heard by ear, and creating some simple one-hand melodies. Eventually, when I was in the 5th grade, I forced my mother to find me a piano teacher, and since then piano has taken a central role in my life. I play whatever I love but they are mostly from classical and neo-classical gene. I also love to compose piano pieces, which I can share with you.

And I'm also interested in photography, cinema and books, so I'm very excited to share my experiences and join the Steemit Community!
