Hello community!
My name is Mariana Gutiérrez and in my first post I would like to tell you why I am starting steemit and why I want to grow in this community
To tell you something about me, I will tell you that I am 17 years old, I graduated almost two years ago from high school and I am currently studying industrial engineering
The latter is one of the reasons why I am starting in this. I am studying to be an integral professional, not only to be an engineer who knows about the resistance of the materials and calculus, but also to have human contact and know how to connect with people
Now I have always felt that I have a humanist side that I have never managed to exploit. Maybe it's because of fear, because having a profession that has to do with the humanities is difficult! Everything is always very subjective you're never sure of anything, everything can be misinterpreted ...
That's why I always felt that science was my strong point, I was always good at math, biology, chemistry. All this science world I loved, and gave me a good excuse to leave my humanist side aside because it was clear that I was good in science and not in humanities
When I entered the university I realized a couple of details, and that is that science and the humanities do not always have to be eternal rivals can be friends can get along and grow together
Everything very different from what I had understood in high school
I always knew that I had something of the two but I did not know how to exploit the humanities
They say that writing helps you think and know yourself a little better, so I decided that I wanted to start a blog, I investigated and it seemed a bit tedious, too many pages trying to charge me for putting my thoughts online
That's why I was surprised when I heard from steemit, who instead pays you for it! I did not hesitate and I signed up
Wait a couple of days and here I am
I'm trying to explore parts of myself that I do not know and maybe hopefully get some people to identify with what I write
