Hey! Welcome to Steemit! The platform is just a front door to the social interaction that goes on, behind the scenes in Discord groups. Be sure to check out a few discord groups, or social groups in Steemit, to increase your reach, and find members of interest. I don't know much about the financial aspect of Steemit, but there are thousands of others who do! Hope you have fun!

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    Thanks for the welcome :)! Yeah I definitely need to expand my reach on the platform and interact more widely. Hopefully that will grow organically as I continue using Steemit.
