Hallo STEEMIANS!
My name is Izabela...I'm from a small town in Poland called Gorzów, but currently I live in Panama. I stumbled upon STEEMIT roughly about 3 months ago.
A couple of years of health struggle made me behind in terms of new technologies and online presence as well as have contributed negatively to my finance and as an outcome I have lost my small business that I had. So at this very moment I'm starting my journey that it is a part of a bigger plan to reinvent myself and get back on track in my "perfect" paradise!
For some time now I'm also learning about cryptocurrencies and I'm fascinated by the idea but where I live there is little use for them other than speculation. I would really like to hear from you guys how do you make use of them (and most of it?) around the world (especially in the developing word).
I came to STEEMIT with the idea is to finally strat posting , making videos, writing a blog, just anything really, as I'm just learning and making the first step to show my presence online. So please do not be too harsh on me 🙈, but any constructive comments are so much welcome! 🙂
I'm a bit introvert so writing my ideas sometimes cost me a bit. Although it could be literally a great movie (or a book) of my life experiences so far! (believe me for now, hopefully soon I will write some parts my story here).
I'm an ovarian cancer survivor and I have lived in 6 countries so far. I share my life with my amazing Colombian husband that I meet in the Netherlands, back our my Uni times. Calling anywhere home for us is difficult, we are definitely a part of the global Nomads society, however for now, home is definitely still in Panama.
What are my interests or what you can expect me to write about?
I love to travel, eat in the restaurants and the street food, Try new things! Occasionally I also cook nice dishes myself.
I also have a passion for juicing and I'm hopelessly trying to grow my own food, however it looks like in the tropics it is rather difficult (usually there are bugs that eat my food before me). I would love to share some great recipes with you or review some products that I am using in my endeavor to switch to more natural, whenever possible organic lifestyle.
I have roughly adopted a rule of 80-20, which means that 80% of my meals are plan-based and only 20% (usually on Fridays and/or Saturdays) I eat animal products.
What do I like eating the most? I love seafood and fish! Peruvian cuisine with its ceviche (raw fish) is by far my favorite! Followed by Japanese cuisine, Chinese and Thai... fishy and spicy, these are my guilty pleasures! 🌶️🍤🍣👌
Gladly visited both Peru and Japan.
Juicing - It is a hard work indeed to extract all of that in a slow-masticating juicer, but well worth it! Your body will thank you for that treat! Ideally, is to have at least one re-booting batch per month. Easier said than done, thought😅
What are my other passions?
I love interior design!
So far I could only practice on my flat. But from this passion I would like to do something more of a hobby or a maybe even one day a consulting part time -job. My personal obsession is for a modern minimalistic look.
I like to play with textures, a mixture of glass, wood and stone (especially in black) is my favourite.
My dream is to build a house from a recycled plastic somewhere in a countryside close to the beach and run a hostel/room rental there, but I will speak more about that in my future posts.
Greetings from Panama! All STEEMIANS are welocme for a ☕ or 🍻 if you happen to be nearby!
Lot's of positive vibes to you guys!!!! 💓💓💓
Please follow me, re-steem , share, vote and/or comment on my account! It would mean the world to me!!!🙏💋
I speak Polish and Spanish, so maybe some of my future posts will feature these languages, only time will tell!
---Izabela

@Mountainwashere's Guide for New Users:
Welcome to Steemit! It's got a steep learning curve, but it's worth it in the long run if you keep putting in the time! Just know that it will take quite a while before you start getting attention and followers. The biggest secret to success? Keep posting high quality content regularly, and make sure to search out other people's posts, read them, and give relevant comments.
Tagging is extremely important. Always make sure to use all five possible tags, and to keep them relevant. You can always just tag something "blog" or "photography" or something else really general (so long as it's still relevant) to fill the quota if you need to- most of your tags should be established ones, though one or two less used ones are fine.
Posting more than four times a day can reduce your potential rewards, as well as turning off potential users. (I aim for one post per day most of the time.) Consistency is important, though, so you should try to post often.
Always make sure to attach a photo to your posts! You should also have a finished profile: Write a description, add a profile picture and a banner- neither needs to be a photo of you, necessarily, but you should have something- and set a website.
There are a lot of really good resources out there for plankton and minnows (new users). You should check out the following groups and services, they offer a lot of valuable resources:
@thesteemengine (Check this one out first- they're an extremely supportive group that can help out in a lot of ways.)
@qurator (These guys offer an excellent liftime upvote to accounts that post consistent quality content.)
@steembasicincome (Another lifetime upvote option.)
@steemstem (The biggest and best STEM curation group in the game. If you're interested in writing or reading about science, check these guys out!)
@geopolis (A fairly new science curation group, this one's dedicated to the study of the Earth.)
@ocd (A curation group that seeks out undervalued new writers.)
@photocontests (Runs contests for photographers, pretty self explanatory.)
Much of the activity on steemit actually takes place off Steemit, on places like steemit.chat and discord. Learning to use them is a great idea.
And, again, the biggest thing is just patience. Breakout successes are incredibly rare on Steemit- you've got to find your way to success through perseverance and hard work. It takes time, but you'll eventually succeed if you put in the work.
Please feel free to repost this guide on the posts of other plankton & minnows you run into (though I'd appreciate it if you credit me.) If it was useful to you, feel free to check out my posts and give me a follow!

Welcome to steemit @soyizabela :) I'm curious, how long did it take for your account to get approved and if you register through normal way or you had to pay? I'm asking this because i have friends waiting for more than 2 weeks already. Thank you

Hi! I actually "registered" myself twice. Once in early Dec. but then although I got approved my password was not generated, so I had to get approved second time in Jan.
