Nathan, I'm not really sure what got me into making electronic music, but it was back in 2001. I started on Sonic Foundry's (now Sony) Acid. Sometime in the middle of the last decade, I dabbled with Ableton Live, then switched over to Propellerhead's Reason 5. I think my problem nowadays is similar to yours. No time! It is a very time consuming process.
