Introducing steadytoken on Steemit!

It’s an exciting time to be involved in Steemit, the very first social media platform that empowers individuals to create entertaining and informative content and to help online communities grow and flourish across a range of topics.

Hi, my name is Tyler. Like many people, I stumbled upon Steemit while researching bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I am new to blogging, and I was inspired to join after learning about the unique features it offers. I have mostly been turned off from the traditional blogosphere because I was tired of sifting through the fluff to find any depth of information. The web is flooded with mediocre blog posts that are incentivized more by clicks and advertisements than actually sharing and cultivating a community. Certainly, the caring and dutiful bloggers exist; they are just harder to find. Steemit turns the incentive structure on its head and puts the power in the hands of the users by emphasizing quality of content over quantity.

My background is in science and public education having received a Bachelor’s in biology from Michigan State University in 2013. However, it didn't take long to learn that the mainstream culture is not what motivates me. Instead, I found a home in the food and beverage industry where I currently work at a bar in East Lansing. My education has led me on a journey to optimizing my own health and wellness. I have spent many hours diving deep into my own heart and mind through yoga and meditation. I quickly took an interest in cryptocurrency and more broadly in finance, trading and investing on my quest for financial independence. I want to live simply and free of clutter, to stay in touch with my true nature, encourage others to inquire into their own inner realms, to travel, and to explore the human condition together in our global community!

For me, writing is a process of self-discovery, and I intend to use Steemit and other outlets for this purpose. My goal here is to be continually inspired by thought provoking material and to share my own insight along the way. Though I wish to expand my influence, my goal is not to gain as many followers as possible. I am looking for deeply meaningful interactions. I encourage critical thinking and productive dialogue. Think for yourself. Don't subscribe to anyone's view or opinion without seeking as many perspectives as you can. I welcome criticism, but keep in mind I don't do this full-time or professionally.
