Truly, Filipinos are seen everywhere in the world - we migrate overseas to work, earn a living or settle down in other countries where we feel we found the greener pasture .

The United Arab Emirates is one popular destination among Overseas Filipino Workers. There are around 700,000 Filipinos in the UAE who work hard to give better lives to the families they left behind and of course, give pride to the Philippines.

Introducing steemPH.UAE

Steemph.UAE is a community account established to discover and support Filipino Steemians based in the United Arab Emirates.

Under the auspices of @steemph, the group shall work to promote and endorse quality posts from Filipino expats situated across the Emirates.

Alongside @steemph and it's various local hubs @steemph.iligan, @steemph.davao, @steemph.cebu, @steemph.manila and @steemph.laguna, we aim to uphold the over all goal of the group - Building Communities, Enriching Lives.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to have a solid group of Filipino steemians working together under similar goals, to get steemit be widely known throughout the community by conducting meet-ups trainings, charity and outreach events.

OUR MISSION

Steemph.uae would like to help Filipino expatriates in the UAE find “home” – within the steemit community both online and offline. We aim to ultimately have empowered OFWs who someday will not need to be separated from their families to earn a living.

Our Core Values

Steemph.UAE would like to uphold the Filipino spirit and mirror the values for which we are known for:

• S - service. We aim to extend this not only to the Filipino steemit community, but to the expat community in the UAE by identifying their needs and helping in as much as we can as a group.

• M – membership and hospitality. To cordially welcome each and every one, and ensure steemit retention through proper guidance and support.

• I – Integrity and Quality. Promote honest and quality content within the steemit platform.

• L – leadership. Exhibit initiative in living with commendable values and ethics, to promote peaceful camaraderie among Steemians.

• E – engagement. To promote community engagement within steemit and outside, whereby each member will find their own place and grow into successful steemian.

Steemit.UAE Projects

Curation.
Alongside the @bayanihan curation, we shall have our local curation efforts and in the beginning feature author(s) on a weekly basis. This shall promote visibility of the featured author, least to say promote quality content from everyone.

Account growth and delegation.
We shall work to grow the account and seek SP delegation to augment @bayanihan and @steemph support our members get in terms of voting strength and rewards.

Community projects.
We look forward to work closely with the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi to extend charity and outreach programs to the distressed OFWs who are being sheltered by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Steemit Promotion.
There are now hundreds of distressed OFWs who can also benefit from getting onto the steemit platform and earn even as little as they can while they wait for their next chance to go home to the Philippines. This, in a way can help them prepare for their lives ahead and start anew.

We shall promote steemit and keep steemit visibility by engaging to local community events.
