My friend gave me this most excellent and useful advice about steemit. This is what he told me:

'write a post with the tag introducemyself

you can then introduce yourself.. when tageed you activate some shit that is good to activate. and its like saying hi to the world out there..'

So hello to the world out there
What you see is a fraction of me
But that's ok. We'll get along somehow.
