Wow, Im a bit excited.. well actually a lot
This is officially my first post !!!! hahah still wondering why did I just started.
A friend of mine @victordoan introduced me to Steemit recently saying many positive things . I have always been a Nerdy gal !! , I was always curious about new technologies, that’s why i took a deep look at Steemit and its community. I think it is a wonderful platform to share, grow and looking forward to contribute to this community. I am super thrilled to be here. ^^.
A little bit About myself?
You can call me Sueri !
I was Born and raised in Phuket Thailand
My parents had a romantic story on the beach. The “East meets West” kind of one
(which seriously should be a movie) and I came along shorty after that.
I was an ultimate beach girl when I was younger until I moved to Bangkok where I currently live now.
I went to University here and did some commercial modeling jobs part-time as I was studying with an amazing agency here in town.
The Years of Modeling
I was an ugly duck when I was younger but always dreamt of becoming a model somehow…. like many of us. Luckily, I grew from a nerd to a potential commercial model. I was rejected for a long time though, after years of castings a finally start getting jobs and becoming better at it. So I had a couple of years with decent income and traveling to multiple countries in Asia.
As we know if you don’t go big in this industry after a couple of years, its hard to stay forever because there’s always new faces and yes that happened to me too. After some time in the glam life of a model, it started cruising and slowly went down bit by bit. It was a great time, I met and made a lot of new friends internationally and it broaden my perspective as a person which I forever am grateful. By this Time I graduated from university and had the chances to sign to a movie production company that made TV series for a famous channel here in Thailand. I took 2 years taking acting classes and was in some small roles. It was an incredible experience and I loved acting.
Self-Renovating
At a certain age, some parents want their kids to be independent and start a career including mine. Small acting roles weren’t paying the bills and by this time I was close to being 24 years old. Many of you may agree that it’s time to move on. So I did with full understanding of my circumstances and open to keep learning and trying to make something out of myself !!!....
You might think why am I telling you these things?...... Well, I’m here to share with you and be completely myself and being honest about my life. So you know a little more about myself.
Now I’m in a new chapter of my life trying new things and being extremely happy and grateful of everything… I have a job and still doing model/acting part-time which is awesome. I love changing things up from time to time and I feel that people in our generations were meant to explore and live life to the fullest. Plus I started posting here which I am super excited to share my experiences further with you all..
I’ll be posting about my experiences, activities and random things I love and passionate including Food,Traveling,Modeling,Acting.. and other stuff I do when I don’t do all those other stuff. Hahahahaha

But basically a lot of nothing..lol.. Was focusing on making money than getting an education. One thing i regretted. Got through with just average grades.

If you go to my page and scroll down just a lil, you will find a few posts that i have resteemed from others how to be successful here at steemit.. Think you will find a few good tips there.

Welcome to Steemit suerisue!
As someone who is fairly new myself, I had many questions about what Steem is and how to use the site. There are many tutorials explaining the basics of Steemit (the site) and Steem (the currency), however after a week of studying these tutorials, I was still left with some questions, so I began to experiment and ask others for answers. I figured that if I couldn’t readily find answers to my questions, then others just joining the community must surely be struggling with similar questions as mine. This prompted me to write and post what I had learned onto my blog page in an effort to save others the many hours I expended on research. Another thing you should know is that writing articles is not the only way to earn Steem. You can upvote articles written by others and earn a portion of what they make on their article. Unless a post is resteemed (similar to FaceBook’s ‘share’ button), the original post only earns an income until it is paid out, 7 days after it has been posted. By resteeming an article, that post’s payout is extended and allowed extra time to earn some upvotes from the viewers of the resteemed post. A resteemed post is copied to the blog page of the person doing the (share) resteeming.
What this all means is that for you to earn a portion of the post you are upvoting, you need to make your upvote before the pay-out has been made. Look for the bent arrow icon immediately to the left of the REPLY button at the bottom of every post. If that resteem button is NOT visible, it means the posting is no longer active and you will not get any income from that post (it will only show that you appreciated the poster’s work, exactly like the ‘LIKE’ button on facebook).
It doesn’t cost you any Steem to upvote someone’s work and in fact it WILL earn you some. This is why many people will gather a list of people they follow and upvote their work on a daily basis. These people will go to their FEED tab (it drops down in a menu when you click your personal icon found at the top right of the screen when you are logged in) and upvote everything their followers post. In case you don’t already know, the FEED tab displays everything that the people you are FOLLOWING have posted. New posts that you have not yet read are highlighted in bold.

I don't personally know the builders - but it looks that they are nice people...
Steemit is currently very abundant place.. full of money and resources for everybody.
You can easily quench knowledge hunger and thirst vising one of the billions of oasi people managed to build over here.
I know you are maybe new - and I will not talk to you about the forest and the animals in there... just avoid hunting in the jungle for now...
I can see already you have already a nice garden on this land... and I am sure you will be able to make it flourish even more soon than you hope... the weather on steemit universe is going to be nice this summer..

Lol, its funny.. Im from Sweden and been living in Thailand the last 9 years.. But right now I'm in Sweden for the summer.. Not been here for many many years.
I must ask you something, since I'm VERY curious as person.
After been raised abroad and then living in Thailand the last years.. Do you see yourself as a westernized Thaigirl.. Or a western girl now living in Thailand?
I guess you understand what i mean .. i.e do you have that "Nothing is important except money mindset" 555 .. i.e so today , tomorrow or next week same same kinda .. Or do you know how to come in time /keep an appointment? 55555

I see myself as a mixture of both and I never actually tried to figure that one out because I know I won't get the answer to that and there doesn't have to be one.
About the cultural thing, if you are exposed to other Asian countries you will see that we are very similar in a way that parents teach their daughters to find a man who can provide for them which I don't necessarily agree because I think woman can achieve success and have a voice of their own. See, many Asian countries are still behind western culture in that way that women are somehow positioned under men and so when finding a match they want to find one that they can feel protected and yes !! money !! Is a main source for security in life. I think u might know all of this if you lived in Thailand so long!. With time, I grew in a household of a European father, so... I think you know answer to that. I do get your joke and understand why it's frustrating for foreigners to met with Thai girls but remembers many Thai women are the most loving and taking care of their men, that's why ya all make fun of it but still want to end up with it... And yes.. I agree with you in what you say.
FYI, i have lived here 9 years.. But I'm FAR from the normal farang guy.
i.e no butterfly, would say i hate places like Pattaya and all what it stands for,becaue it is a very wrong view of Thailand and especially Thaigirls in everything.
Its fun when farang say "i know thailand.. I have been to Pattaya many times" because the truth is that you never been to Thailand at all if Pattaya is the only place you've been to. (or Phuket etc.)
Last but not least ... "Thai women are the most loving and taking care of their men" .. Agree completely!
The problem is just to meet them.. Because as only English spoken.. The only/most girls you meet and also manage English do that because or or for a reason. ;)
and the 40 million adorable, honest, loving and great woman aint speak english.. And because of that don't go to places where you need that.
( i don't mean Bars since i aint drink myself) but at large.
So.. Yes . I KNOW Thailand .. Thats why i have lived here 9 years.
But it has been an expensive experience though 55555
One just have to learn the practice of the country you move too.. And Thailand is among the hardest to understand since because of the cultural of never make the other lose face .. You rather get a smile than what you ask/wish for .. i.e the truth.
