Hi everyone!
I’m Susanne Opstal, a documentary director from the Netherlands. In my films I endeavours to address undercurrents we all feel. Sometimes philosophical, or abstract, but always with a keen eye for the universal feelings underneath, which tend to reflect the times we live in. My films can be experimental blends of influences, and thus often will have an international feel about them, just as in my upcoming documentary about the American Westboro Baptist Church. In addition to my work as a documentary director, I teach film at the filmschool in Amsterdam. I also direct commercial projects.
Normally I never share anything before I finish a film, but I decided to use Steemit to share my work of process with you. Although I feel a bit nervous, I already love to see all your photo’s and be inspired. :) So, here we go! I just came back from Bangladesh, where I filmed in Cox’s Bazar. That’s why I like to share this first photo with you.

Hi Susanne, yes I feel very lucky to live in CT. April is probably the best time to come visit, since it isn't too hot, but it is still good weather. I'm happy to stay in contact and please feel free to ask me any questions that will help you plan your trip :)
