‘It’s been a good day today’

‘I wish I started writing stuff for this much earlier’
‘this new password system takes way too long... as if life wasn’t complicated enough now I got to remember 54 digits for logging into my personal, kind of blog-ish account?’ He says to himself.
He mumbles to himself that he’s entitled to not having to oblige sticking to a sort of rule when writing your intro post:
‘54? fucking digits for a passphrase only to be dumped another set of rules to follow when deciding to express your true, authentic digital self?’
‘Maybe I’ll just stick with Facebook!’
This is where he’s obviously decided to let off some steem today.

Exactly one year ago he sat in a room with @kaitlin Netflixing when she suddenly needed to go to the toilet, like for the 10th-or-so time that hour. But her big round golden belly is holding her down.
‘Babe!’
‘Yeah?’
‘Could you help me get up, I need the loo ASAP!‘ she says to him.
She’s sitting on his right with the laptop at their knees.
He gets behind her and pushes her a little too hard.
She flops over her front and he falls right behind her just as she lets off some ‘back steem’ into his face.
They both start laughing, but especially her, she can’t stop.
She struggles to tell him through the cramping laughter that she peed herself.
He laughs louder, and so does she, but she also can’t stop the labor induction ballon from falling out and ends up doodooing something else out of the expected. Out of the blue.
‘Get out the room right now!’ She frustratingly yell-pleads at him.
He runs out laughing thanking the laughing gods that he doesn’t have much of a good sense of anything at this moment in his life.
It had always been a good laugh for him to hear and see her being totally helpless in these times to try and hold her farts back.
It had gone too far this time:
‘but at least I’m in the kitchen and out of the room... especially the room!’ he thinks and passes the spray cleaner through the little opening where she peeks through on the other side of the door.
An hour and a phone call to the hospital later they’re on the way to meet the midwife at the hospital and end up unexpectedly staying there for the night since surprisingly she had dilated 6cm which in normal guys terms means she could give birth any minute.
She’s been in a vulnerable spot the whole pregnancy but it feels like to him that this time it’s the whole 9 yards. It’s for reals!

Thoughts gather on him:
Any minute and I’m a papa!
My hearts beating too fast!
Hey, stay cool, remember to breathe... You’re ready for this, in fact you were ready since she told you she was pregnant two days before your birthday last year, remember? Happy birthday!
I what?
Huh?
What the fuck is going on?
Is this for real?
I wish I brought my PJs and a toothbrush!
Damn it!

Bob Marley playing through a speaker, thoughts appear and disappear in his mindscape like little orbs dancing to electronic music in a rave somewhere in space.

The following day he experience the rawness, the phenomenal power of a human birthing another human.
It was almost an unknown feeling, very primal but yet an alien like energy of a birth.
Ayra takes her time, careful and smooth, and then 10 minutes later blue boy Amion flies out like only he can and almost misses the midwife waiting for him on the outside.
He wasn’t breathing though.
The doctors with their keen sense of awareness and experience with twin births isolated him immediately and got to work!
He watched as he held Ayra close to his chest like a delicate precious gift that she felt like.
‘Now what?’
‘What happened to him?
‘Why isn’t he crying like Ayra?’
‘Why are there 10 doctors over him giving him a massage?’
‘And oxygen?’
‘What is going on?’
‘I want a massage!’
‘I need some oxygen!’

Coming back from his memory flash, he sits in front of the screen imagining what his life would’ve been like without them only to realize that in this moment he wouldn’t change anything even if it was possible
‘Maybe a thing or two, but just a maybe with a capital m’

The day it all started:

‘I felt the air move the hair on my head’
‘Maybe that’s why I’m going bald’

And just like that one year later the beat goes on

‘Like a breeze!’

‘Maybe now’s the time, but it started a year ago’ he thinks before deciding to post
