Hi and welcome to TeamTurnerLive! We’re Derek, Kareen and Shalom.
We are Canadian transplants living in Southern California. Derek is an entrepreneur and stay-at-home daddy to Shalom. Kareen is a Registered Dietitian working in hospital administration. We’re both in our second careers: Derek coming from telematics and Kareen from technology. Our interests are varied so you will find a wide variety of topics on our page from selling online to parenting to food – just to name a few.
Derek discovered cryptocurrencies a few years ago but this year decided to act. He discovered the Steemit community through @jerrybanfield. After years as a content creator in both writing and video without gaining traction, it didn’t take much for him to convinced me (Kareen 😊) of Steemit’s merit as a community.
We are working towards our goal to financial freedom for our family’s future so join us as we share our life’s journey. We look forward to getting to know you, too!

Welcome from a fellow Canuck who has done the reverse. I lived in NYC most of my life and briefly moved to Ottawa a year ago before reliving the semi-expat life here in El Paso, Texas. Best of luck to you guys here in the States at least the coffee is better than Tim Hortons ;)
