Hello everybody reading this introduce me post, i’m Tegan. Today I will introduce myself (hence the name). I’m in 3rd grade and I love gym because it’s always nice to take a break from sitting down and get some exercise. I also love computers because it’s so fascinating to learn about how computers work and how to us one. Finally, I love writing because I love using my imagination to write my own weird and wacky stories. I also have many interests, for example I love to draw and to play video games.
Now I will talk about my favorite video games (the list is long).
- The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild (Nintendo Switch)
- Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo Switch)
- Pokemon Moon (3DS)
- Super Mario Bros. 3 (SNES)
- Super Mario World (SNES)
- Portal 2 (Xbox 360)
- Minecraft (Xbox PS Pc)
To end off this introduce me post I will talk about what I want to post on Steemit. I would like to stream video games, do game reviews, and write articles about new video game news. I hope you enjoyed my introduce me post…. Bye!
Hey Steemians! @ericwilson here.
I wanted to take a moment to clarify that everything above was written by my son in google docs and I copy and pasted what he wrote. Full disclaimer, the only editing I did to it was "Hence" the name (he wrote hints), editing of the bullet points for appearance, and "Bye" at the end (he wrote by).

- Eligibility
Steemit is not targeted towards, nor intended for use by, anyone under the age of 13. You must be at least 13 years of age to access or use Steemit. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority where you reside), you may only access or use Steemit under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
I feel that the fact I am posting ON BEHALF of him, as his legal guardian, and as long as I am not allowing him to use steemit in anyway (he helps me with curation because I talk to him about some articles) I feel this is in no way a violation of the terms and conditions. If the community disagrees, I will plead for forgiveness but I hope that my innocent attempt at finding another avenue to educate, encourage, and otherwise motivate him to have an inquiring mind goes unpunished.
A very genuine thank you for reading his post - he worked very hard on it.
Photo for my own benefit :) This kid warms my heart and I am so proud of the young man he is becoming.
Welcome

Welcome @tegansteems! I hope you have a lot of fun here!
I don't think you have to worry @ericwilson. @papa-pepper does the same thing with the @little-peppers account, plus there are other 'kid' accounts that parents run. You should be just fine!

HI Eric, and Tegan!
While I can't officially speak for the community, I do think this is a great way to involve your young man in the platform. I know others are using Steem as a way to teach their kids about cryptocurrency as well, so I don't see an issue with this. I have been working out how to get my own son involved, he is 10, so the idea of letting him write something in Google Docs that I post for him sounds like a great idea!
Anyway.... Welcome Tegan to Steem!

Welcome to Steemit! It’s cool to see more young people here on Steem, it’s a great opportunity for education and to gain experience in what may very well be the new economy in 10 years.
The legal disclaimer is to protect the Steem company from litigation. If you have no plans of suing them I think all is well.

I agree! It really is neat. I have to imagine he is one of the first in his school to be on it... In a year or two he will be a whale compared to his classmates 😂.
He has always wanted to post videos to youtube and stuff and he is really good at remembering details and explaining them: I am looking forward to some game streaming and game reviews from him!

That's weird. It says on your page you only follow 3 people.... And @tegansteems is not one of them.

That looks like a spam account. A quick check of their comments is a dead giveaway - all identical.

Excuse me, but I can vote whoever I want, even myself!
The system allows it, if you don't like it is something else.
Even when you create your post! It gives you the option to automatically upvote yourself.
Don't spam! @ericwilson

That's cool, you do you. It's pretty socially acceptable to upvote your own post, but copying and pasting comments on random posts then upvoting yourself (in my opinion) is spamming.
You have the right to do it, and I have the right to downvote it. That's how steemit works. I should have just scrolled by but I am not a big fan of it, that's all.

I'm just going to replicate because I use 5 different welcome images that day to welcome the new ones. And to welcome is appreciated even if it is an image that says a thousand words.
And the other thing I wanted to say @ericwilson is that the photos in this post transmit a lot of love from father to son.
And that is worth more than a thousand words.

Well in that regard that is good that you go out of your way to do that... I wonder if it would be more effective if you posted those images with a personal message based on what they posted about. I am willing to bet you are more likely to get an upvote from them if you don't upvote yourself first. I have kind of done my own personal research and I can say you are more likely to get engaging replies when you don't upvote your own comment.
As far as the picture, thank you, that really means a lot. @samsiedenstrang took the second photo this past summer and I am going to get it printed up and framed, it is a treasured image. As far as the first Tegan is genuinely excited to get on steem and even nervous about having his photo taken but he did it because he knew how important it was to identify who he was here on steemit.
A sincere thank you for that.

I would like to read a bit more about you and maybe do you have some more pictures? I also just wrote a introduce yourself. Maybe you upvote me and follow me swell as I do? https://busy.org/introduceyourself/@mykarma/1-jail-review-bitcoins-3-years-ago
