Not another Steemit User / Hola Steemit! 🤯steemCreated with Sketch.

Well, let's be honest. I am just another Steemit user trying to make a big entrance, sorry for the misleading title, but I'll assure you I do my best to make you reconsider how accurate the title was.

My name is Mauro Mossuz. I'm an argentinian Industrial Engineer passionate about technology, gaming, entrepreneurship and, of course, Cryptos.

Why Tiberium?

Hopefully some of you already got it! For those who didn't Tiberium is the mineral you need to harvest in Command & Conquer as the main fuel to build anything. Was that my first crypto? It was for sure the first strategy game I owned, along with Age of Empires (#wololo would've been a cool name too!). Is that a cool name or what?

Why am I here?

Thanks to my good friend @pablob who has been trying to convince me since day one that Steemit was the one and only crypto with a real use case as of today. So there you have it Pablo, you convinced me! I'll honor your wisdom by uploading as much useful content as I can.

Besides that, in my path into understanding the crypto world and trying to spread my bullish feel about it with my friends and colleagues I found that there's a real lack of spanish curated content in the web for me to share with them. Well, that's not fair. There's a lot of content, but I feel that everyone is focusing on explaining what Bitcoin is and I see that as a big mistake. The real thing here is Blockchain and this is what we have to explain if we aim to generate some traction and informed early adopters in this universe.

I found that being on Steemit could be a great way of working and collaborate into creating that kind of content. Do you feel the same? We should work together!

Who am I?

You can always check my LinkedIn profile for some background, but long story short: I've worked for about 5 years as a project manager in a local company that manufactures custom machines for whatever industrial process you can imagine. From the Oil & Gas and Autoparts fields to Mass Consumption. That was a really big challenge as every single project we had was completely different from the last one. I totally enjoyed my experience there but I discovered some time ago that a part of me always wanted to try out the entrepreneurship experience.

Now I have the best of both worlds, I'm building my own venture with a couple of colleagues and at the same time I work with a venture capital fund analyzing and investing in innovative agrifoodtech startups, I think that I can apply everything I learn in this field on ICO's investing as well, let's see how that works out.

But despite I really enjoy what I'm doing, work isn't everything, these are some of my interests:

  • Newell's Old Boys: The football team I'm mad about in my city. Players like Messi, Maradona and Batistuta played here and some of the best managers out there too like Marcelo Bielsa, Gerardo Martino, Eduardo Berizzo and Mauricio Pochettino.
  • Gaming: You might got that already, I played on PC (yes PC, never owned a console) since I was 5. Some of the classic games that marked my childhood: Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis, Discworld, Grim Fandango, Little Big Adventure, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex.
  • Music: I play electric/acoustic guitar and was part of a few bands as lead singer in my childhood, now it's just a hobby, but the one I enjoy the most.
  • Music Plus: A music lover, I can appreciate almost any genre, but if you ask: Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons, The head and the heart, The Lumineers, John Mayer, Hozier, The Black Keys.
  • Traveling: Well, who doesn't love to travel? I've been in many places: Brazil, US West & East Coast, Ireland, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic.
  • Sports: Football, Tennis and Snowboarding (can't get enough of it).

Yeah that's me.

What kind of content can you expect from me?

Not really sure on this one, I think that my profile will develop as time goes. I would say that I can create good content on business, entrepreneurship, Venture Capital and startups on one side. On the other, curating and creating some blockchain content for spanish speakers.

I'm planning that my first two posts will be:

  • ¿Por qué Blockchain va a cambiar el mundo? ("Why Blockchain will change the world?")
  • Cómo entrar al mundo de las criptomonedas desde Argentina paso a paso ("How to enter into cryptocurrencies world from Argentina step by step")

Do you have any suggestions?

What I'm expecting from you?

Criticism, thoughts, suggestions, ideas. Really, I would love if you would help me improve my writing and feel free to criticize anything you read from me, I'm comfortable with it. Please understand that english is not my native language, so don't be a grammar nazi (yes you can, just try no to be mean about it ).

Also, as you get to know me it would be great to have suggestions on articles I could write down, that would be really helpful!

Spanish or English?

So you say that you want to build curated content in spanish and your whole introduction was in english? Yes, a bit contradictory, but English is the universal language, Steemit is a universal platform, I can't make my introduction to the universe in other language than the universal language. Ain't that right? Should I make another introduction in Spanish? What do you think?

Wow! You got to the end!

Here's a "Stan" for you!

Was the title really misleading? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you @bycoleman, I'll check out the links you shared with me.

Thanks.

Yes, it is easy to passionate about crypto. It is changing the world.

I'm working on a new series for newbies. Let me know if there are areas of confusion on Steemit, you think are worth addressing!

Good to know @bycoleman, let me know if you need any help translating your series to spanish in case you consider it!

OK, Thanks. That is interesting.

I use google.translate.com -- gets the job done pretty well, but the grammar is not the best.

Yes! It's a great tool, but not error-proof and a spanish speaker will know instantly that you've used it, that's why is a good call to review the content with a native speaker always before posting ;)

OK, Great. I'll keep you in mind.

Many blessings!
