My Life with Cerebral Palsy

in introduceyourself •  8 years ago

When I was born with Cerebral Palsy. The doctors advised my parents to put me in a nursing home. Thank God they didn't listen. I grew up believing that I could always be the best as long as I put my mind to it. In the late 80's (I'm telling my age).. I was watching the American Music Awards and Prince came on to perform. At the exact moment. I said to myself "this is what I want to do. I want to have fun and make money doing it." And that's when I joined the music industry. A small kid from Brooklyn who can barely walk up a flight of stairs. Thirty years later. I've had the opportunity to work with everyone from Queen Latifah, MTV, MC Lyte, Will Smith, Atlantic Records, Kenny Smith and others. I don't drop names to impress anyone but try to impress upon anyone, that if a disabled kid from Brooklyn can live his dreams. So can you. Never give up..

My name is Terry Moorer and it's honor to meet everyone here.
