Blog #1 Welcome to Top Movies - Your Go-to Movie Guide!

That is a tough one but I think I have to say Shawshank Redemption because I feel like the director brilliantly made the film so that the audience feels a huge connection to the main character, Andy Dufresne. You almost feel empathy for Andy that you can't help but go through the emotions with him on his long journey to freedom. What would be your favourite movie of all time? Apologies for not getting back to you sooner!

No problem. I rarely check my replies too so I understand. As far as ALMOST feeling empathy for Andy, there is NO 'almost' about it. Jails like this are all too common here in the states - even to this day. I like to rate my movies based on how much they keep me interested throughout the movie. Do I want to find out what happens next if I keep watching is my main factor. I guess the word that I am looking for is 'intriguing.' The 'Shawshank Redemption' does exactly that and I would have to say that it probably is also in my top 20. I'm not sure where exactly because I only really keep track of my top 5. My #1 you ask? Great question. This movie not only keeps your attention but also warps you into a new reality or dimension if you will. The acting is the best I ever seen from the 2 lead actors and Robert Zemeckis does a brilliant job of directing. The movie is also a trilogy. Any guesses?! lol. It's 'Back To The Future.' One, Two, and Three!
