as a vegetarian from the southern US myself... I can certainly understand your frustrations. I rent a second house in Colombia, and live there at different times of the year for the same reasons :)

Thanks for the comment Tracy. Where in Colombia do you live? My friend mentioned Columbia the other day, saying there is a large digital nomad scene there. I am very interested in checking it out.

Sorry so long for the reply...just saw..still figuring this site out, lol. I have a house about 30 mins North of Bogota in a small 'country" town called Tenjo. it is in the mountains too and only about 4-5 thousand people. far enough out to be safe and close enough to the city to grab a bus or taxi and be there in 30-45 mins. I have been spending time there for about the last year and I LOVE the people..they are great !
