Why Steemit?

Whatever reason I give now will change in time, so I won't go too deep. I started a You Tube channel in June of this year and I am having too much fun with it. I was looking for an additional platform on which to share our videos and also post some written blogs as well. I heard about this community, looked into it, and decided this is a great way to combine both. I know Steemit has some contemporary monetary system where creators gain value as they post, but I do not understand it. I didn't start my You Tube channel to make money and I am not doing Steemit for that reason either. Honestly, unless you're a huge superstar on any of these platforms, there is really no net gain monetarily. What I mean is that these videos and blogs take time. Time is money if you work a regular job. In other words, I actually lose money doing this. If the tables turn on that I will welcome the checks. To sum it up, I am doing this because it is fun.

Who is two-dogs?

I am just an average, blue collar, 55 year old man, who still works hard for a living. My wife and I moved to a small piece of land in Mississippi. We started here from scratch after leaving a large house in a nice suburban neighborhood a large city. I am able to work anywhere that has an adequate internet connection so I work from home. All of our children are moved out, doing well, married, and have their own families - making us empty nesters. We wanted a more free life in the country so moving here was a no brainer. We love it.

What will our content be?

I post about anything that interests me. I usually shoot from the hip. If I have an idea when I wake up in the morning, it usually becomes the topic of a video or soon to be blog within a day or two. For the most part we will be posting videos and blogs about the things we do here at home. The topics will include gardening, various building projects, content about our animals (dogs and chickens), cooking, dog rescues, and reviews on anything from tractors, lawn mowers, local food, and anything that looks fun to review. Everything is always positive and fun unless it is a serious topic.

In Conclusion

I am looking forward to finding out if Steemit is for me. I plan to have a boat load of fun doing this. If this looks interesting to you please follow along. We would love to have you and look forward to building relationships with other Steemers....Steemors....Steemians. I am glad I finally jumped in the Steemit community. Lets see where this goes.

Welcome to Steemit, I saw your YouTube video. I'd love to see any food videos you cook up!

Thank you for your comment. I really don't understand the communication methods on this platform and I do not get notifications on comments. Hence I missed this one. I apologize. Anyway, We have a few cooking videos up and I will be sharing those soon. Thanks !!

Thank you !

Welcome onboard! If you can think outside the monetary gain, steemit is a great platform, trust me. You will learn as much and have fun like never before. If you are cryptocurrency trader like me, you will be addicted to steemit, but then, the platform is for all, I mean everyone irrespective of your likes and dislikes!

@autofreak loves you, and I want to see you prosper here.

Check-out Dtube. I think you will find it interesting. Welcome to Steemit! Following you!

OK...I know I am stupid, but I tried to use it and when I tried to upload my thumbnail (first thing I did) it was too large! WTH? I will use Dtube for my STeemit videos for sure, but I need to find the parameters that I need to work in. I wanted to get that intro post up so I used YouTube. Thanks for the heads up on Dtube. Anxious to learn all about it.

Welcome to Steemit I will be upvoting you and I am going to follow you.

Thank you. I will do the same. I don't even know what upvoting is, but I will figure it out. Thanks buddy.
