myself - horror and retro gaming

Hello all,
I have finally managed to get my finger out, and register an account on this plattform.
I'm a male in the mid 30's that has grown up with console and pc gaming. Along with soccer, beer brewing and crypto one of my hobbies is still gaming, but my gaming time is limited - so I am more of a semi-casual gamer now.

This will be sort of a test for me, where I aim to publish gaming related posts and updates on new games I am playing, and I will also dedicate some time on bringing back some old and forgotten jewels from my childhood - the NES, SNES and PSX era. I have a lot of good memories from many old games, that I am planing to replay in order to se wether they still hold up to this day. The content and frequency of updates will be adjusted to feedbacks.

I play many different kind of games, but I prefer stealth and horror, adventure and action games.
Some of my all time favorite games are:

Metal Gear Solid series
The Last of Us
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Goldeneye
Dishonored
Final Fantasy 7 and 9
Silent hill

    Hello umbral! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. Here are 5 essential tips that will help facilitate your onboarding process:

    1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of the 4 passwords and make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
    2. Get Steem rewards: You have the option to choose how to receive your post reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this will change over time. Check our post for more details.
    3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
    4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Converting and powering up more Steem into Steem Power will enable you to have higher value on upvotes.
