I just joined the steemit community, and it feels good to be here. I’ve decided to write a “introduce yourself” post to get things started.
I discovered steemit a few months ago. I read an eBook about steemit, and I loved the idea behind this platform. I checked it out, and I was completely blown away (not in a good way).
That was because when I visited steemit.com for the first time, it was undergoing a hostile takeover. I didn’t like the sound of that, so I googled the meaning. It doesn’t look good at all. The future doesn’t look certain, so I held back a little before I joined.
Today I remember this community and checked it out again. Lo-and-behold: it’s still very much alive and kicking. I still don’t fully grab the concept behind this platform, but I will definitely stick around to learn more about it.
I am keen to meet the outstanding community that calls this place home on the internet. But first, if anybody (you) read this post, let me know your experience with this platform so far.
Were you around when steemit was undergoing a hostile takeover? What do you recall about the incident? How did the community dealt with it? How’s your journey on steemit so far? Do you have any tip or trick for me on how to get the most of steemit? I’ll like to meet you in the comment section. And maybe follow as many people as I can from the comments.
A warm welcome to you @vadblog
