Greetings from the SITH... Or, um, hello all! I'm Valdimar (not my real name of course, just a moniker) and I'm totally not a human! Shoot, I blew it. But for real, I understand that these posts are to introduce who you are, but for security reasons, I'd prefer to remain under a moniker. Not because I'm a Special Agent (or am I?), but rather because I'm new to the online blog-o-sphere and a little nervous about putting my private information on the web. I don't even have a Facebook, believe it or not!
None-the-less, I'm here and I'm going to ignore my fears and join this community. I'm new to online posting; I have a Reddit account, but its mostly for reading. So, this put me completely out of my comfort-zone. In any case, ONWARD WITH THE INTRODUCTION!
A little brief about me:
I'm a Capital Markets Analyst by trade. What is that? It's essentially a person who sits and watches lines move all day. No, but really, I oversee the hedged pipeline and portfolio for a private lender. In essence, I develop Hedge Strategies and execute them on a daily basis, specializing in Mortgage Backed Securities.
While I have a background in markets, I'm new to crypto-currencies which is how I found this website, and blog. I grew interested in the articles and thought: well hey, maybe I should get involved! Essentially, I'm going to try to bring some of my experience in traditional markets and see if it would in any way help out newbies with their forays into Crypto and learn some stuff myself.
My other interests include STAR WARS (I have an unhealthy obsession that makes my wife shake her head in disgust), all things fitness and sports (I'm that freak that's at your office who wakes up at 4:00AM to work out), Overwatch (I totally think I'm better than I am, and I'll prove it to you!) and Dungeons and Dragons (among other table tops). You'll probably see post from me detailing these subjects and commenting on similar interests, but who knows, I may branch out more.
All-in-all, I'm excited to join this young community and would like to see it succeed!

As a capital market analyst, do you find alot of differences when examining crypto market graphs than the ones you are more familiar with?

It's similar and different. I'm somewhat new to Crypto and still learning, which is what attracted me to this blog. There was a lot of interesting advice regarding Cryptos and how to invest. As I started reading more, I made the decision to join and collaborate.
But, from what I've seen a lot of the principals and analysis are similar - I use momentum, volume, liquidity, trading ranges as barometers for inter-day trading. I don't have a large enough swath of Market history (I'm still researching myself) to make solid calls, but I hope to get there.
And thanks for the welcome! I started looking over your posts and I'm interested in following your input on Cryptos.

I'm a Zenyatta/Symmetra main. I've got a lot of play time in everyone and I've been picking up Reaper more now, but I love 'controlling' the battle!
