My presentation on steemit! I'm on birthday!
Hello friends, my name is samuel and this is my presentation! I'm from Spain and I'm 29 years old. Casually, it's my birthday. I am a university student in computer engineering, musician (I play the piano) and I am half geek hahaaa.
The truth was reviewing steemit and I liked it a lot, since there is every tag or section to express your thoughts and ideas. A perfect place for those people with a desire to know and learn new things. This is something unique steemit and I think it is the second that attracted me most (follow me to know what comes first).
One of the few faults that I notice, is that there is no direct messaging on this platform and the only way to communicate with a person is by commenting on their post. I would also like to know what you think, and what you do to overcome this obstacle, feel free to write me
Finally this account will be focused on making blogs about cryptocurrencies, which I have been doing for some time in other sites. I do a daily curation called "Hey! Have ya met..." that goes to those 2+ day old introductions that aren't spamy and share with those who read my post. If you could resteem them and visit the posts. It would help a lot.

I haven't started with the introductions that I have to translate yet, but eventually I am hoping to get the time. They need the SteemIt Love too!

Firstly, Happy birthday and welcome to the world of SteemIt. I wanted to take a moment and let you know about the Open Mic contests and posts that are on the blockchain. They happen weekly and they award SBD out to the winners. Just put in #openmic in the search and go. I am sure you will find some great opportunities to meet plenty of people.
Secondly, many Steemians have Discord accounts and that is where we have most of our conversations. You can sign up for an account HERE. Once you have done that, someone will eventually send you a server invite and you can chat away. It is a great way to find where you belong within the community as well. Sure hope that helps.

It’s great to meet you and as you’ve mentioned direct messaging to be one of the faults here on steemit then know this is adequately taken care of by opening a discord account, as mentioned by Ren & Scott. There’s also steem.chat, but I prefer discord personally. Enjoy getting to know your way around.
