VISIO: Moving Forward with the Steemit Community

Today we are pleased to announce our arrival on the Steemit platform. Visio has been hard at work over the last few months to provide solid tech behind our system for all users. We have come a long way and now ready for the next stage of our adventure and that stage is to open our doors to the world and let everyone know we are ready for the crypto masses.

Steemit has long been a solid vision of decentralization, so it makes sense we join this platform and unify our goals to further bring decentralization to the content creation world. Whether its video, music, documents, or any other file type...Visio is here to provide a rich environment for users to have empowerment to share their content as they see fit.

What is the Viso Platform?

Visio is a Decentralized Content Aggregation platform (DCAP) powered by Blockchain technology. The platform is hosted on a segregated network and is managed and moderated exclusively by the ever-growing community. Whether you work as an individual or part of a group, you can easily add and share content of any file type on the Visio Platform. Our token is Proof of Stake so for fans of POS based coins we are already up and running with our staking nodes, masternodes are soon to arrive as well.

The platform is not under centralized control and as such its health is entirely dependent on a user-managed content moderation system. Furthermore, the process of content aggregation (where network users can register interest in specific content such as video or subtitle files) is coordinated by the users themselves. If multiple users are interested in the same content, they can link their requests and create a quote (priced in Visio tokens) which will increase their chances of finding a content creator to accept their offer. We think the decentralized structure and user-led management will be highly appealing to users of existing file sharing mechanisms.

The Technology within Visio

The central concept of the Visio Platform is to establish a global database, synchronized via blockchain and offering access to data, functions, tokens, etc. through the distributed IPFS network.

There is no centralized database. Each VisioNode will run as a web server with its own IPFS gateway. This means that each user will be able to save their simple web to blockchain, restore it to each node, and provide data to anyone in the IPFS network via the built-in CMS.

The result will be a decentralized global database and a distributed network that delivers content through nodes without a central server. Each node can be used for different purposes with a different data subset. The entire system, including users, content, rights, will be managed by the community.

CMS will be able to work with groups as well. So the content owner can be a group. When a group receives a donation, it can be shared by the group owner/manager. This is just another of the many groundbreaking features of Visio platform, which make it an excellent choice for developing video, audio, files, etc.

Upon completion of the alpha version and internal tests, the project will be freely available in git.

A Quick Look at our Current Roadmap

Right this very moment our development team is hard at work. Currently we have a very smooth running wallet that we are sure will please most fans of POS based cryptocurrencies. Masternodes are coming in Q4 and many advancements to our video service are also being worked on tirelessly every day. We have come a long way and spent more focus on the technical side first so users can experience a smooth system with no headaches to worry about, just enjoyment and ease is what we aim at for our users.
