Welcome to Steemit and I'm sorry to hear that you're under the weather. It's nice to meet you here. There are a huge number of support groups like the Freewriters and Minnow Support Project. If you need help, you can join any number and grow with them. I agree it's a big jump in a pool, but you will do fine!
