Many people ask me where the name Wheresmyfitzy comes from, so I figured I would write a brief piece on it because it's a fun story. So here we go...
So when I was in college (go Scarlet Knights!) I was dating a girl for my first two years. She was in High School at the time, and despite many people telling me not to take the relationship into college, I di anyways. As time passed I rushed a fraternity - amongst other things - and continued to navigate finding time to see my girlfriend.
So during pledging - a process she didn't quite grasp - she insisted on visiting me despite my time requirements for the pledge process. Often times she would visit and would have to leave at odd hours to do pledge related things and leave her just hanging around my dorm or somewhere on campus.
My pledges always thought it was funny, seeing her moping around looking sad and lost as I was off doing god-knows-what, and imagined her asking people "where is my Fitzy" in a British accent. This caught on and eventually became my calling card throughout my college career.
A funny origin story that still resonates today amongst the fraternity. I have adopted it and it's now my handle on things like Twitter, my blogs, within the Steemit community and many others. So, if you see the name wheresmyfitzy, just know that it has a pretty fun story attached to it.
