A photographing, acting, grilling, music loving law student

Hello everyone!

My name is Wout Kelchtermans. Currently, I am studying law but I have a lot of other interests besides law.

When I was 8 years old, I acted in a play for the first time and I was instantly hooked! Since then I have acted in various plays and got a small part in a movie once.

At around 9 years old, I started playing around with disposable cameras. I loved taking pictures and once I graduated to digital cameras, I started taking pictures of literally anything (I even tried to photograph series on tv). As a grew older, I learned more and more about photography, my gear got more and more sophisticated and today I am starting to get into off camera flash thanks to the Strobist website made by David Hobby (if you are a photographer struggling to understand flash photography: check out strobist.com!).

I also love fire. I can spend an evening just staring at the flames of a campfire, occasionally throwing on some wood blocks to keep the fire going. Pure bliss! I guess this is where my love for grilling comes from. As soon as the weather is slightly ok (and sometimes even when the weather is bad: umbrellas for the win!) I want to light up the fire and grill some juicy meat!

I am addicted to music. It is very much like a drug to me. I can’t go a day without at least a couple songs and I constantly need new songs, new bands, new genres... to listen to. This is why I am into almost every conceivable genre (including but not limited to classical, hip-hop, reggae, techno, deep house, metal, folk, trip-hop, jazz...).

I am also interested in law. Especially criminal law. This means I am currently trying to balance studying law with my various other hobbies and interests.

I learned about steemit through a post on facebook by @Vonwong. I plan to mainly write about photography but I may also write a few posts about grilling, theatre or music.
