YOUTH AS HELPERS, WORKERS, EMISSARIES, HARVEST MINISTRY [YAHWEH]

Background 

Youth in Uganda (Africa) are the youngest population in the world. 77% of the population is under 30 years.

YAHWEH is a Youth Ministry that was borne out of the requirement, and the conviction, that this large population of young people can be organized, facilitated, engaged, and their energy and talent harnessed, and channeled to the service of GOD.

Activities

YAHWEH is therefore a fellowship of youth who have come together to serve God, to minister primarily through Music and Drama in response to Christ’s call for WORKERS to gather the HARVEST.

In drama, we aim to visualize, to bring to life the events in the Holy bible for the instruction of today’s church. Almost every verse of the bible has a moral. Can that moral be acted, brought to life, made easier to understand?

In music, we aim to write and sing songs that reveal the face and facet about the life and character of YAHWEH (GOD Almighty).

Justification

Inspired by groups such as Hillsong, bethel and other worship groups, we aim to mirror their activities, and to build something similar not just for Uganda, but for Africa and the Nations.

In YAHWEH, we are putting the youth at the forefront, tapping into their energy, their enthusiasm, their zeal in order to speak, not only to fellow youth, but to all ages and places at all times.

The requirement for young people to serve God is repetitively spoken and directed in the bible, but the requirement reaches its culmination in Ecclesiastics 12:1 - when God says: “Remember your creator in the days of your youth…”

That requirement for young people to serve God is moreover made more urgent today. We live in an age where young people dominate most populations in the world.

They are to be found in all areas of life, and if they should dedicate to serve God, the spread of the gospel of GOOD NEWS will be unprecedented.

In Mathew 9:37, the bible puts the urgency more clearly: "The harvest is large, but the workers are few”

Steemit is timely

This is where steemit comes in. We believe that Steemit’s social resource, and economic attributes are invaluable to our quest to succeed as YAHWEH.

Our primary aim is to reach individuals and communities and nations, and Steemit to us is an ocean from which we can, and will fish from. In addition, we are trying to raise finances to acquire all the musical instrument and stage equipment that are necessary for a music and drama worship center. Again we are hopeful that Steemit will be invaluable.

Vision:

Convicted by God’s call in Mathew 9:37 [the harvest is large, but the workers are few], our vision is:
A Global Youth Movement of Helpers, Workers and Emissaries, that is spirit-filled with God as the center of our lives, boldly proclaiming Christ and the Christian tradition through word and deed to all Nations.

Mission 

We commit to being a worshiping, praising, praying, teaching, and serving example of God’s presence to individuals, to communities, to nations by:

• Worshiping God through music and drama
• Living Christian faith and nurturing its growth
• Extending a spirit of welcome and belonging in our prayer
• Partnering with individuals, churches, and community in service to GOD

Overall, we are a passionate youth ministry that has self-organized to empower young people to live as Helpers, Workers and Emissaries, for the purpose gathering the Harvest!

Our first introduction was by the Chairperson of the Fellowship, but we thought it was insufficient and not cover YAHWEH in its entirety. We hope this has succeeded to do that.
