Here I am!

Hello! My name is Zach, and I was lucky enough to sit near @mada and @lovejoy at a coffee-shop a few days ago as the two of them discussed Steemit. Now, I'm jumping in with both feet.

These days, my #1 goal is happiness, and I'm working hard to make it happen. That's not always the easiest attitude for me to maintain, but it's getting easier every day. My first step each morning is to focus on what makes me feel grateful, and to keep that feeling going with some positive affirmations. Today, for example, I'm grateful to @mada and @lovejoy for introducing me to this wonderful platform. I'm hardly an expert on crypto-currency, but the idea of boosting my income while I interact with this online community really appeals to me--I appreciate anything that can help me find my way in this topsy-turvy world, hahaha.

In that vein, something else I've been doing these days has been putting serious effort into starting my career as a freelance writer and editor. After doing some research into the lifestyle of a digital nomad, I learned about the Upwork platform. I created my profile a week ago, and finished my first contract two days ago. Over time, I hope to make my Upwork contracts a major source of income--and hopefully Steemit can become a major source of that too. As I learn more about being a digital nomad, I look forward to sharing that information here. I'm doing my best to create a life that can allow me to jump across the imaginary borders that mark off all the crazy countries on this planet.

Alright then! I've got more to say, but I think I'll save the rest for another time. I'm excited to meet you all, and look forward to getting to know the community better over the coming days, weeks, months, and years. I hope we can build something wonderful together!
