Who am I?

Hey my name is Joel and I'm pretty excited to join the steemit community after hearing about it from some of my firends. What to say about myself...

I spent most of my childhood and early adult life persuing a career in classical music performance and education. After a few years of university I found myself no longer interested in the this path and abruptly cancelled my enrolement. My parents at the time were devastated but have since come to understand my choice. No point forcing yourself to do something that you don't have a passion for.

After 6 months of job hunting I landed my current career with a government welfare agency working as a software tester. Since then I've also dabled in solutions design and am currently working as a business analyst attempting to streamline and optimise our applications for users.

In my personal life I enjoy playing video games and building computers. I currently help run a large australian gaming community called AUSEZ Gaming which has played host to hundreds of members over the years and is a large aspect of my social life.

Outside this I love to go 4x4 in my Jeep Wrangler and camping out bush with friends or family.
