Hello Steemit! Let me introduce myself - I'm Zneeke.

Hello Steemit!

It feels nice to be here. I'm new, willing to learn, adapt, take on the challenge. I've found Steemit with help of @ivanli after I've watched few of his videos about crypto currencies.
My nickname is Zneeke, I'm from Croatia and here is my verification picture:

Let me introduce myself through my hobbies and all the things that I'm interested in.
I have a lot of hobbies and I will try to list the ones that are most dear to me and those which have took and held my attention recently.

Writing

I have a small number of poems published on deviant art. I am thinking about sharing them here as well. I've also tried writing short stories, and I even have one that is published but will not talk about it here. I'm looking into reviving that passion again and I'm in a pursuit of my style, genre and I'm gathering ideas for a story.

Drawing

I like to draw, sketch and express myself artistically. I have few things on deviant art which I was happy enough at the time and I decided to upload them. I prefer traditional art, pencils, fountain pens and ink but I have tried doing digital art. I still have a lot to learn and there is a lot of room for improvement.

Photography

It was something I tried doing several times on and off. I have this problem that I'm out of ideas, but when I have an idea my camera is out of reach and I'm left with my crappy phone camera. I really need more practice, more reading and more ideas.

Pen and paper gaming

Is my passion and it became a thing that changed my life. I was pretty shy guy. Awkward in groups, silent, reserved and not too keen with introducing myself to other people. After I've played D&D campaigns for years with a group of people I like to call good friends I've learned to let go, to risk it sometimes, not to worry about most things in life. I'm still shy, like to be in smaller crowds, silent, and reserved but I often roll the dice and go for what I want. It's not easy at times but it's the best I can do. Oh, and those guys were the ones that helped me decide to get a bachelors degree in computer science. With them and for them I've created a lot of worlds, campaigns, adventures, characters. I've made even more  cliché plot hooks, borrowed movie ideas, villains and had great fun.

Programming

Another creative faucet of mine that sometimes tickles my creativity. I've created several things so far, most of them were school related projects and had a lot to do with learning the basics. One thing I'm really proud of is a sort of a cheat program which I created and used for a game I played at the time (eve online). Basically it alerted me when any hostile player jumped into system I was in so that I can flee at once.

Gardening

Recently I have found out that I love being surrounded by trees, flowers, plants, green and having earth under my feet. I got a piece of land and I'm currently clearing out the wild untamed bushes to make a weekend house, a garden and a place to rest my mind and heart. It is close to where I live, feels wonderful to be there and I plan on sharing few images of that place with you guys soon.

DIY and Fixing stuff

My hands are my tools, and yes I like to repair stuff. It feels great when you fix something, it works, it becomes used again and you know that you've restored a life to something that was unused, forgotten and it just makes you smile.

Blogging

This is a personal challenge of mine. A way to get into writing again and to force myself to be more active, engaging and to adapt. I had never expected it to be this difficult. I am struggling and I would like to get some help with it.

Gaming

Maybe the easiest of my hobbies. Yes, I love games. I love to win, but more than winning I love having fun.

Learning

The biggest challenge and basically a way of life for everyone who works in IT. I am prepared to learn every single day of my life and it makes me happy when I learn new things.

Fountain pens

Probably the only thing I want to collect and use for writing. I have 5 of them and not a single one was expensive. I like them, cherish them, use them and I tend to write with them as often as I can. My wish is to get a flex nib one and start doing some calligraphy as well. That is the short list of all the things I'm interested in. I don't think I've forgot something, but it is possible.

Future plans

I'm currently working on my avatar, as it was recommended in this post by @shayne - https://steemit.com/steemit/@shayne/beginners-guide-to-getting-started-with-steemit-revised-by-shayne-or-or-3-a-strong-avatar - this is an awesome series of posts on how to start for new steemit users. I feel lucky to have seen it and I'll follow the advice to the best of my ability.

I'm also thinking about my 2nd post, I'm reading, learning and looking for ideas of my own.

If you have any questions, comments or you would like to talk to me - let me know.

Have fun, take care and pursue your dreams.
