Hello everyone, my name is Manuel Guevara.

I am from Caracas, Venezuela this is my first blog post ever in my life and here on Steemit, i found out about the platform existence through a politic organization called DSD Venezuela during a very convulsive time in my country a few months back.

That is a long history about how we almost started a full rebellion against our government and lost, something about i would like to write here in the future, it is a sad history but a interesting one.

Why i am here?

I am currently studying economics in the UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela) on my last semester, here in Venezuela we currently face a huge economic crisis the biggest in our history, and now we are heading towards what the economist call hyperinflation our currency the "Bolivar Fuerte VEF" is losing his value and fast, all this situation sparked my interest in crypto currency and here i am in Steemit, this present for my a wonderful opportunity for improve my English, share my ideas and also serve as a therapy because living in Venezuela can drive you crazy.

A proven system for evaluating and rewarding contributions is the free market. The free market can be viewed as a single community where everyone trades with one another and rewards are allocated by profit and loss. The market system rewards those who provide value to others and punishes those who consume more value than they produce. The free market supports many different currencies and money is simply a commodity that everyone finds easy to ​exchange.

This quote is from the Steemit whitepaper is what really got my attention because this is precisely what my country lost, the free market in Venezuela was dismantled taking away from us economic freedoms and now that is destroying our monetary system increasing poverty and destroying our opportunities as a society and as individuals, platforms like Steemit bring a opportunity.

I want to use Steemit to introduce myself to the cryptocurrency world, and it seems like a great place to start and at the same time improve my writing and my English.

More About me

I am a green belt in kickboxing i hope to gain my next belt this year, in the last 4 years i have been working in a bank as a Risk Specialist but have been thinking become a freelance and work through the internet and well steemit seems like a great place to start.
